Paris and the Eiffel Tower

There is a mystical power to the Eiffel Tower, isn’t there. Ask anyone about Paris and I am willing to bet that the first image that comes to their mind is the Eiffel Tower.

Come. Let us have a look at this symbol of Paris

… La Tour Eiffel.

I know, I know, that is not the kind of picture you expected is it!

(But if you are taking the bus, that is the stop you need to look for!)

Okay let’s see if I can do better.

Whether you are there in the autumn (this was late November)

or during the summer (this was mid August)

…you will be drawn to the Eiffel Tower.

Whether you view it from afar (this is a view from the steps of the Pantheon)

Or whether you view it from up-close

 (like right underneath it!)

…you will be drawn to the Eiffel Tower.

 Even if you are in another iconic spot (Place de la Concorde)

your eyes will be drawn to La Tour Eiffel. 

Use it as a frame for Les Invalides,

or  to frame Palais de Chaillot …

…even then, you will be so very aware of the Eiffel Tower!

Whether you view it from up high

(view from top of Montparnesse Tower)

or view it from ground level,

or even from a bridge far away…

you will be drawn to the Eiffel Tower.

It will tease you…truly, it will be always on your mind.

“Was that the Eiffel Tower? I am sure I just caught a glimpse of it!”

(And yes…you did catch a glimpse of the tower.)

Explore the streets, sit in the cafes, visit the museums,
