Bon Jour,
I have been watching you.

Yes, that is me… outside your porch.
Ever since you arrived here at Mont-Tremblant I have been keeping an eye on you! It is lovely here in late October, is it not.
You realize that you almost missed the season of colourful autumn leaves. Most of the tourists are here a little bit earlier in October. However, you are in time to see some beautiful autumn colours, eh.
But this morning! Did you notice that there was snow on the ski runs? I noticed the snow when I strolled along Lac Tremblant earlier this morning.
Remember you can click on the photo to enlarge it for a closer view!
First snowfall of the season! Not to worry though. The snow will not stay long this time. Later in the year, though….oh my, later in the year this will be a skier’s paradise!
So where did you go yesterday? Ah, into the village of Mont Tremblant. Many people tell me it reminds them of Whistler village in British Columbia. What do you think? Shops, Restaurants, much the same, no?
Aside: See that red and grey building just on the left? That is Smoke’s Poutinerie. The portions are huge and delicious!
Are there building shaped like this in BC, or is this style an “Eastern Canada” thing?
I do not know if Whistler has a free gondola like this to take one up to the top of the Village. Much easier to walk down than to walk up, eh!
The view from this tram must be quite lovely (although they do not allow deer on it so I am only guessing). Can you show me what the area looks like from up there?
Oh my, one does get quite a bird’s eye view, no?
Ah, quite spectacular. I agree!
Yes, it can get a bit nippy in the morning. But remember you are in the mountains! Fresh mountain air is quite invigorating, no?
Mon ami, did you realize that Mont Tremblant is a municipal district here in Quebec? I know, I know! Most people think it is just a resort town…but it actually is the name of the whole area.
We have just been talking about The Village of Mont Tremblant.
So come, mon ami. Let’s visit the Old Village.
And then Saint Jovite.
And of course Mont Tremblant National Park.
Nice talking with you!
