A Glimpse of Las Vegas

Let’s take a “quick” walk down The Strip in Las Vegas.
I put “quick” in quotations because distances in Vegas are deceptive…
“The hotel is just over there, we can walk.”
becomes
“Why did we not take a cab!”
when 40 minutes later you are still walking and not yet at the destination that seemed so close.
That being said, let’s start at a hotel towards the south end of The Strip…
there is the Luxor
then on to MGM Grand
looking into the distance we see the Eiffel tower
(but do not let your eyes deceive you…that is a long ways away!)
New York, New York is closer
even closer is the Aria,
see, “just past” Planet Hollywood
we can even take the Aria Express between some of the hotels in this area!
Gorgeous modern shops here…
maybe we should stop to rest (and shop?) here.
Okay, we will keep going…perhaps take one of the buses?
There is Caesar’s Palace…
(Celine Dion is back in residence again. Let’s check for tickets!)
We now are up to the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas
(we were by the fountains at The Bellagio to take this photo)
There is the Palazzo, next to the Venetian
with its gondola rides and shopping (!)
Across the street is Treasure Island
and The Mirage
that is where Terry Fator’s show is
(we have tickets so will be back there tonight)
Yes, yes, I see the sign for The Wynn
but my brain tells me that is a long walk!
maybe we can sit here by this gorgeous waterfall in the air conditioned Palazzo before heading off again!
Okay, I am rested…off to the Wynn.
I admit it is gorgeous here
but you must admit it was a long, long walk getting here
We are definitely taking the rapid transit system to return to the south end!
