Q: What do you do when there are photos and memories that just did not seem to fit anywhere else?
A: You put them on a website named This and That
The Icelandic language is delightful to listen to…but not that easy to speak, or read.
Aside: Did you know Iceland is actually spelled ISLAND. That is why you will see IS on their stamps. There is no letter C in the language, but a C is used in English so as not to confuse the country’s name with a body of land completely surrounded by water.
The transportation system in Reykjavik is modern and efficient.
But what is it with the colour pink in Reykjavik?
And then there are the Icelandic horses. This photo was taken at a beautiful facility (just south of Reykjavik) that presents dinner shows featuring the horses.
Iceland was not settled by Viking warriors but by Vikings who were farmers. Here is a farm today (2014)
Hint: Click on any photo to enlarge it so you can see details more clearly.
Did you realize that divers can suffer from a fear of heights?
(Hmm, what is the name for that?)
Anyways, our guide told us that the water is so deep and so clear here that divers have been known to experience that fear of heights.
