Japanese Gardens, Butchart Gardens

Japanese landscape designer, Isaburo Kishida, expertly assisted Mrs. Butchart when she began the Japanese Garden in 1906.
Let’s have a look at it today.
Pass through these gates to enter the gardens.
Very authentic looking, isn’t it.
As you walk down into the gardens there are picture perfect scenes everywhere you turn. Trees, shrubs, rocks…all complement each other.
Water features enhance the visual senses…and even more importantly for me, the auditory senses.
Can you put yourself into the scene? Don’t you just love the spring colours of the flowering trees contrasting with all the shades of green!

I could sit here on this bench forever…but it is time to move on.
Oh, what a sense of peace one gets just being near this fountain.
It is beautiful!
Can I have one at home?
