Still counting waterfalls

We’re up to thirteen countries and a whole bunch of waterfalls.
Let’s continue…
Englishman Falls
Canada
You might want to enlarge that photo to understand what you are seeing. Walking on well marked paths on Vancouver Island, we could hear the falls but could not see them until we were right upon them.
Walking through the peaceful old growth forest here on the west coast of Canada was part of our Englishman Falls adventure.
Montmorency Falls
Canada
At the opposite end of Canada (eastern) we found Montmorency Falls. They are just east of Quebec City…which might explain their French name la-Chute de Montmorency. Taller than Niagara Falls (by 30 metres!) and easily seen from the highway you might be tempted to get a closer look by walking across the suspension bridge.
Smoky Mountains
USA
Driving through the Smoky Mountains we frequently came upon scenes like in the photo above…water seemingly just flowing out of the banks.

Walking the trails, scenes like the next one are frequent.
I have no recollection of these falls having a name/ or not. I do recall they were in the National Park near Gatlinburg.
Milford Sound
New Zealand
Cruising the Milford Sound (south west corner of the South Island) was one of many highlights of our month long visit to New Zealand. Here we see another cruise ship getting up close to a waterfall in the fjord.
A bit later we were up close and personal with a different waterfall…and would have been soaked if we had stayed on deck!
At another falls (below) I fell in love with the colours of the water…and the dolphins splashing nearby. (can you spot their “splashes”?)
Challenge: How many words do you know that mean the same (or similar) to waterfalls. I have: cataratas, la chute, fossen, and iskandar.
