Tour Strasbourg on Little Train

Like many European cities Strasbourg has a little train that will take tourists on a tour of many of the major tourist attractions.
When you find the large carousel next to the statue of Gutenberg (you know, he’s the fellow who invented mechanical movable type and revolutionized the printing industry) you be in the square from which the tourist train departs.
There is the statue.
So let’s hop on La Petite Train.
We head off for La Petite France, a small neighborhood on this island in the middle of the River L’Ill. A long, long time ago this was a hospital area for sailors. The streets are narrow and the alleys are even narrower. The old buildings will charm you with their unique and lovely architecture.
Oh, look! Regardez!
There is a carousel, a tiny antique carousel.

Oh, that looks good. Maybe we can stop at that bakery after we get off the little train (because it is not a hop-on hop-off tour!)
French or German…does not matter, it looks delicious.
Now, what is that! Hearts (a symbol of the Alsace region we are in) done up as decorative bread in the window of this boulangerie. Maybe we can eat there!
Even though that has made me hungry, there still is so much to see and take my mind off my stomach.
This billboard map shows where we are going on the train. Remember, you can click on the photo to enlarge it.
However we may have deviated a bit, as we got up close and personal with the cathedral.
About an hour later we are back at the statue and the large carousel.
Thank you for joining us on La Petite Train.
